[It doesn't take long after the meeting for Moriarty to come to see Inaba, looking casual as ever.]

Ah - Inaba, was it? Would you mind terribly if I asked you a few things?

[dereban]

[ She stiffens a little bit but tries to play it off casually. ]

That depends on the questions. Shoot.

Ah - well, I wanted to see if there was anything else about our illustrious Host that you knew.

[dereban]

I've said pretty much everything relevant that I could tell you, but. . . what in particular did you want to know?

Ah, well...I was actually wondering how he seemed to you. His mannerisms, any kind of little thing that stood out in your opinion.

[dereban]

He's apparently pretty different from what I expected? Like something has definitely happened to him during his time here. . . I'm pretty sure.

[hatesdeerstalkers]

Different? I'm not familiar with the man, so you'll have to explain - if you would.

[dereban]

He's. . . a lot kinder.

And this Dazai is normally much more...ruthless, I suppose?

[dereban]

In a way, yeah. Like his 'act' in public is kind of what I expect of him, but when he's in private he's definitely nicer. . . in a lot of ways.

[hatesdeerstalkers]

Hm...could it be that he merely sees you as someone he can let his guard around?

[He rubs his chin, thoughtfully.]

[dereban]

Huh?

[ She cants her head to the side, blinking curiously. ] Why would he see me like that?

[hatesdeerstalkers]

Perhaps something about you reminds him of someone in his past, perhaps?

[He shrugs.]

This is mere speculation, however.

Someone in his past. . .

[ She frowns just a little bit. ]

No, there's no way. [...] Probably.

Probably? So even you don't know for sure?

I don't know how long he's been here. He could have met someone that I remind him of here. . . if it's someone from home, I guess there's one person I could think of, but I'm not that stuffy.

week 2; wednesday

[dereban]

[ After all of that, Inaba is going to check on Moriarty since him kind of

winding up like that was very worrisome. ]

Hey, are you doing a little better. . .?

[hatesdeerstalkers]

[Ah yes, since he just fucking had to restart for hours. He's looking a little annoyed, personally - but at seeing inaba, he sighs quietly.]

...I am, yes. My apologies for being absent for the game this week.

[dereban]

It's fine. The first half was pretty simple and the second was mostly random chance, although my luck is garbage. . .

[hatesdeerstalkers]

Yet, you survived - that's something to be thankful about, is it not?

[At least, he's aware many of the people would be upset if she died - not just here, but at the foundation as well.]

You could have died along with Azula - and I, for one, am glad that you did not.

Yeah, I'm pretty relieved that their timing was what it was.

[ She knows just how upsetting it would be for a lot of people. ]

Although I'm surprised that you'd say that. Can I ask why?

[He blinks, surprised.]

You're clever and curious, and one of the ones here who constantly attempts to find out as much information as you can. We would be sorely lacking if you perished.

[ dislikes: herself is there for a reason, Moriarty!!! ]

Well, there's only so much I can do, so finding information is the least I could help out with.

Either way, our 'Dazai' will need all the kindness he can get, if nothing else.

[ Inaba tilts her head and blinks at him in a bit of confusion, as if trying to get a read on him. ]

Well, I suppose you're right about that much. He's really skinny and probably can't cook on his own. He needs help.

[ She's half-joking, of course.
