Just in case I lose one.

I like having a physical journal, a copy on my computer, and a copy on my phone.

[loveedition]

[ She's... trying to keep her initial reaction down of "that's seriously too much," and "that can wait until you're feeling better", so instead... ]

Where the heck do you find all the time to do all this stuff...

I usually do it at night.

But sometimes I just keep my phone running on record-- so I'd have audio files of everything that happens around me and then go back to it later.

[ ...oh, right. Inaba had asked Ryoko to be ready if her phone was on and she spoke to anyone. It was just lucky it never came to that.

Ryoko pulls out her own phone, staring down at it. Things she hadn't even thought of... ]

...hey, have you had a chance to check on whether or not everything is still there? I mean, from the previous year?

. . .good chunks of my notes were blank.

[ Which is giving her a bit of trauma memories, but she's not going to think to much about it! ]

I'll probably have someone help me recover the lost sections.

[ Instinct 1: offer herself. That dies a death instantly. So... ]

I don't know how good her memory is exactly, but it'd have to be someone who's been here a while, right? I could see if Fauna could...

Uh. I mean, if that's okay.

Ah, well- my notes are based off my memories, and I don't... you know how it is.

Yeah.

...I mean, I suppose the only other person would be Ushio--

[ Except, that's not the point at all. ]

It'll take some time, but it's something that can get done as time goes on. As long as we can keep any of the conditions from taking place this time.

Yeah. I'll have to find her later... or see if she's willing to come over. I don't like having these gaps, so I need to have them rewritten as soon as possible.

The biggest thing we need to deal with is the Rumor outside the city.

Yeah, I've kinda heard that it's...

[ ... ]

Hey. Have some soup.

Ah, right-- uh, is there water, too?

[ She's going to adjust herself to be seated upright on the bed before starting to eat the soup. ]

Yeah. Ibuprofen too, if you need it.

This won't mean much coming from me, but try not to push yourself back to working hard. It's easier to burn out if you don't fully recharge.

There's too many things that need to be done. I need to be able to finish all these projects.

[loveedition]

...and you're going to continue to do things this way?

I get that, now more than ever, it's not like we have unlimited time. But also, now more than ever... you have to pace yourself.

[dereban]

I already said that I have to, otherwise--

[ It's for a flicker of a second but the color of her eyes shift before they're back to normal and she starts coughing and hacking. ]

[ The worry's clear on her face, before the color flickers away and her cold gets in the way.

...she doesn't know what her plan was, so she leans back and sighs, eyes focused at the floor. ]

[ She had literally just resolved to be better about this, and yet again. Falling back into her old habit.

Unasked for concern. Ryoko just awkwardly, looks down at her phone. ]

Mm. Maybe I should ask him for more light soup.

[ She considers sending a text. After all, if he knows Inaba's awake, he'll show up. Then, Ryoko can go. ]

[ She leans back against the bed, staring at the ceiling. ]

I shouldn't be getting too emotional right now, anyway.

I'd appreciate both of them, actually. Maybe ask for ice, too.

[ Nodding, Ryoko heads around to pick up the phone and get a hold of the front desk. Extra pillows, extra blanket, and a filled bucket of ice.

Idly, her eyes scan through the room. Ryoko knows she shouldn't, but she can't keep her curiosity from getting the better of her. How certain things were unused, how clear it was that... well, he didn't sleep on the floor.

Once everything's ordered, she nods. ]

Okay, it should be here any moment. I'll be by the door, but I'll be back. Alright?

[ Inaba's own answer is extremely quiet. ]
