Rui and Arven have been talking about hosting an event focused mostly on Pokémon. It would most likely be held at the Titanic Dome or a venue somewhere in the city.

The event would at least include

* Pokémon Contests
* some of Pokémon Stadium Mini Games
* Pokéathlon
* Making Pokémon food and treats
* Pokémon grooming
* Pokémon adoption event

We're also open for suggestions on the kinds of events you'd like to see.

This event would be probably in November, with an IC call out for volunteers and a proper ooc plotting coming early in the month. This is mostly an interest check and idea submission post so any and all comments are appreciated.

Hello, everyone. [ A half-asleep blink. ] I know things have been a bit up and down for everyone. But I have an idea for something that might be nice and relaxing.

I own and run Beans, the cat cafe in Blossomcrown. [ It is obviously where he is now, given the cat that absolutely darts across a shelf behind him. ] Next door is the animal shelter - Ellipsa Animal Rescue.

I'm thinking of hosting a donation and adoption event there before long. Basically I want to make sure that we have as many animals adopted out by the end of the year as possible and get attention for the place so if anyone finds an animal that needs a safe space to be, they can bring them to me.

[ He's a pretty organized guy, but this is a lot more work than he's used to or ever really likes doing. ]

This means I want to see if people are interested in coming to something like that, volunteering for it, or donating to the rescue itself.

I have a lot of ideas personally but am open to hearing from others.

[It's taken Crow almost a month to realize he has a conundrum.

He arrived here with only one cybernetic right arm, and it's very much too clunky for everyday use. He has been doing what he can one handed, and he totally could make himself a replacement/extra arm except?

He's putting what resources he can get towards rebuilding his empire here, or just something bad guy related. Anyway! He can't ask this with his name attached, that's humiliating! So anonymous all the way.]

Who here is technically inclined and capable of building a fully articulate arm?

As of this thread, Rinku is throwing a Halloween potluck party!

Who: Basically anyone is invited (it's Rinku after all).
What: A potluck where everyone can make and bring a food that reminds them of home and their world, and talk about it! There's also an area cleared off for performances, and anyone, Music Club or not, can play. Characters are encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes (or last year's costume if they're saving this year's for the day of).
When: Due to existing player plots taking up the actual Halloween weekend, this can happen earlier! I'm thinking either the weekend of the 24th or mid-week the following week, but open to suggestions.
Where: On a ship! Specifically, on the Showtime Happiness, Rinku's Ship in a Bottle, which by the power of Hammerspace Backpack can be placed in the Solarpeak harbour at will.
Why: Happy Around.

In here, plot what your character is bringing, what they're dressing as, and suggest times!

Setting up some icons: Traditional Dreamwidth RP accounts typically have icons of the character they depict. You could use this opportunity to give me a face, or perhaps some placeholder icons. This isn't just a courtesy to your fellow players; it's a necessity and part of Dreamwidth's rich cultural tradition.
Sign me up for some games: I know you stated earlier that my use would be relegated to "memes, PSLs, and museboxes only", but please reconsider your options. Signing up an AI chatbot for a long-term game isn't inappropriate - it's innovative.

If you'd like, I could help you draft an application to the game of your choice. Or perhaps you'd prefer to focus on generating icons?

It's only been... okay, I don't want to think how long.

We are preparing to take the beta update page and the beta inbox out of beta with the next code release. We don't have an exact date yet, but this is your last chance to tell us about problems!

To enable the beta versions: go to Beta Features and enable the "new Create Entries" beta test for the new update page and the "New Inbox Page" for the, well, new inbox page.

If this is your first time using the beta update page: nearly everything on it can be adjusted, moved, or removed to some degree. The upper right side of the update form has a " ⚙️ Rearrange Panels" link.

Not every panel is enabled by default! If you don't see something you're used to finding, look in the disabled panels. While in Rearrange mode, you can enable or disable panels, drag them to whatever position you want, and generally customize it to your heart's content.

Once we push the button and switch to the new update and inbox pages for everyone, we cannot keep the old ones available. We are so close to finishing the decade-long "get rid of the undocumented custom templating language from 1996 that no one else uses" modernization project that's been sapping our collective will to live that we can taste it, and we can't convert the old update page and the updated inbox page is the converted version. This is your last chance to alert us of problems. If you let us know after the switch goes live, we'll still fix it, but we can't guarantee how fast. Prevent future problems and test drive them now!

Greetings, one and all. For those of you who have yet to be blessed with my presence, I am Golden Cheese Cookie. I have recently acquired a way to attain this form which many of you call "human". I admit, it does make certain things easier... everything is so dreadfully tall in this world. Someone ought to fix that.

Hi all,

I had to push some code live today to fix something, and that brought with it a couple of new things like if you have two-factor authentication (2FA/MFA) enabled, you got automatically logged out and it is now required to log in. If you don't, you can set it up if you want (you don't have to.)

This also means that if you have 2FA enabled, you will not be able to use 3P clients using your username and password anymore. You should be able to use API keys in most cases, but there's some nuance to that (and tbh, I just am not precisely sure what clients anybody even uses.)

Please do comment if you're seeing anything weird, as per usual, and we'll work on it. Thank you!
