[ Before she grabs the remote, she wraps an arm around him, keeping herself close to him. And then she presses play. ]

[Of course, the hard part is that there is so much Dazai in all of BSD that it's hard for Atsushi to watch it and not compare the Dazai he knows to this Dazai on tv. Sorry Inaba, he's talking during the show.]

He's...nicer. This one, in the show. Dazai-san was never outright mean, but he wasn't exactly 'nice' either. And his smiles were always fake. This one seems a little more genuine.

[And then eventually Akutagawa shows up, and Atsushi grimaces.]

Ah. So he's more violent like this, then. I guess it's good he found a way to mellow out in my world, he was intense enough already.

[ It's okay, Inaba doesn't really mind, although she's being quiet throughout, allowing Atsushi to ramble, creating comparisons between the Dazai he knew and the Dazai he sees on the screen.

She can't help but wonder a little more about how different they are. But based on what Atsushi did tell her, he's not wrong. It's when Akutagawa shows up that she can't help but hum a bit in curiosity. ]

What what he like. . . back where you're from? Besides his "intensity"?

I didn't name him, the name just popped into my head one day. So I think it's his.

Maybe if we can find a version of Fukuzawa-san here, that could happen.

That'd be nice. I'm kind of jealous that Cinque got to pet him while--

[ And that's when her words stop and she finds herself a little self conscious of the whole thing and stops herself, curling in a little bit. ]

I mean, I could always give you a syringe full of sedatives and try to transform partially? That way if it goes too far, you can knock me out and I will change back.

I'm not drugging you. I feel like a lot of people would get angry at me if they found out I did that.

[At least she wouldn't erase his memory too.]

And without a Dazai-san in this world to stop me, drugs are the next best thing. That or outright knocking me out.

[ She chews on her lower lip a little anxiously as she continues to watch. That sure is a tiger. ]

[ Even though Inaba doesn't think that he'd hurt her? Based on what she saw, anyway. Although it might be worrying if he wound up hurting other people, so there's that.

And, well, I guess that's happening now. ]

Are we going to watch the whole thing in one sitting, by the way? I don't mind, but I might have to multitask if that's okay with you.

There's like 25 episodes, aren't there? That's like a whole day.

[ But if he doesn't mind, she's grabbing her laptop and placing it where you'd expect a laptop to go - on her lap - as she goes on ahead to do some rather quick typing; she's still paying attention to the show, at least. ]

You're probably already better at it than me. I never really had to cook for myself.

[That might actually get results, since the first two search options for that are one of the light novels and 'BSD Wan'.]

I've never had to cook for myself either, so we're kind of on the same boat, there.

[ Well, going to open new tabs for both of those and read through them real quick and frown. There's a fucking gag manga spinoff. You know what, she's not going to even question it.

Welp, time to go through Atsushi's page to dig through things and see if she can't find anything there, but she doesn't seem to be saying anything about it. Although she does snort a little bit at some of the comments saying that he's cute. But she does frown a little bit at some of the speculation that she immediately scrolls past.

Time to find another avenue of pursuit on this topic. Time to check out the novels category of the Wiki and quietly read through that without a shift in her expression at all whatsoever... ]

[Well, the wiki page does list 'white reaper' as one of his nicknames, specifying that it comes from the BEAST novel. So there's that.

Otherwise she can skim the novel summaries until she gets to the BEAST novel. Either way, that's the winner right there.

Once Atsushi sees that she's reading his profile, though, he focuses on the show again. Because from the bit he read at the top, it sounds like the Atsushi there is this other Atsushi, not him.]

Well if they have to give us jobs here, maybe they will let you apprentice to be a cook? I don't think I'll get that consideration, but you might.
