Because it's a waste if it's not deserved.

And. . . I- kind of still feel uncomfortable around powers.

[She reaches out to put her hand on Inaba's shoulder without thinking.]

You deserve to live, Inaba.

[Her voice is utterly firm.]

We can figure something out about powers. But please don't give up on yourself so easily.

Do I, though? They chose people for bloodshed, remember? Clearly people want me dead.

[ She sighs. ]

It's fine, though. I'll be fine-- I'm not going to give up. Someone's waiting for me, after all. It'd suck if I couldn't go back to him.
