[Atsushi needs a bit of time, before he seeks out Inaba. Today has been a rollarcoaster of emotions so far for him, and he was still struggling to absorb it all.
Eventually though he'll seek her out at her room. There's a quiet knock at her door, and when she opens it she'll find Atsushi there, pale faced and looking oddly tired, hoodie tucked close around him like a blanket might be with his hands deeply buried in the pockets.]
[ Thankfully, after everything she's decisively a little calmer now; even if it is a shared room, she doesn't mind opening the door, although seeing him pale and tired isn't much of a surprise, truthfully.
Inaba herself looks pretty exhausted herself but she's hiding it under a calm demeanor. ]
Yeah, we can. I don't mind. Did you want to go somewhere else. . .? The kitchen, maybe? Since the others might come back and I don't think this is the kind of conversation you'd want to have with too many people around.
Ah... that's fine. Anywhere we can sit is fine, I think.
[He just really wants to sit down for awhile, honestly, and she might be able to tell from the way he carries himself, the slight slump in his shoulders, the dullness in his eyes.
He'd felt so relieved, for a few short moments. And now he's not sure what to think.]
but early enough that everyone is probably awake by now and the moment she sees Atsushi walking by, she's going to comedically grab him by the collar and attempt to haul him to the bathroom.
[He's outside again! This time curled up in a deck chair, a book set to the side he'd clearly been intending to read but just.. staring off into the distance, lost in thought.]
[ Thankfully there's a little bit of cheer in her step and she seems a lot less exhausted thanks to. . . actually sleeping on Friday. Nevertheless, she is seeking him out at some point after the announcement.
And her voice is pretty chipper the moment she spots him and sees him. ]
[And Inaba will find him...! Blearily waking from his brief nap. It wasn't all that long, but it was enough for someone who was used to scattered sleep, even if he does look exceptionally drowsy as he glances up at her. He offers her a small and sleepy smile, eyes hazy and warm and hair a little rumpled from where he'd tucked himself curled up against the chair.]
Inaba-chan.
[His voice is soft and sleep thick, but then he's shifting to uncurl from his position and stretch out, raising his arms above his head.]
[ Her face is flushing a very dark scarlet at the smile he gives her, even more so when he calls her by name. It's honestly a little embarrassing to get so easily flustered like this on a Friday of all days, but it's fine, probably. ]
. . . Did I wake you? Sorry, I should have probably let you sleep a little longer.
[ She did say that she wanted to talk to him later so she is seeking him out. If she can find him there's going to be a very serious look in her eyes: ]
[She'll find him! Not immediately, but she will. He's been talking to Dazai and then Saki after, and he's starting to think he's just going to be meeting with people the rest of his evening.
He's smiling brightly at the sight of her, though. He's still so relieved...]
[ She is actively seeking out Atsushi on Tuesday afternoon, so where is he? She'll notice that she'll have a notebook - the color seems to be different from the one he saw under her pillow - in her arms as well. ]
[ At some point after the game, she did say she wanted to talk to him which is why she's tugging him to the shower room again. Even if they know where the current dead zones are, this is just something that she heavily prefers.
She makes a gesture to put his palm out as she turns on the showers again. Even if they could write on the mirrors, this is just...
It's something she's more used to. ]
I volunteered for a reason, knowing the risk.
[ That's what she's opening up with, even if she knows he won't like it. ]
[Atsushi will take a seat on one of the low benches set about for the showers, offering out his palm to Inaba. he seems... calm, now. Shaken, but calmer than he was this morning.
As if Inaba's safety was a reassurance, after the hell of yesterday.
He traces his response on her palm, and she's right: He doesn't like it.]
Inaba is worried about Atsushi because she's pretty sure he definitely took a drink that Wasn't Good on purpose and while she'd normally be mad enough to hurt him but.
Not today!! So instead she's just gonna fret over him in the Blue Room after a little while. ]
[He's already hurting enough for his choices as it is, Inaba. Please don't punch him.
Eventually he'll have exhausted his ability to puke up his guts, so now he's just curled up in Blue Room, having tucked himself into a pile of blankets with a handy trashbin very close at hand just in case.
He looks like crap, honestly. But it's more than he can say for anyone else who might have chosen the same cup, and that made the few hours of feeling like death walking worth it.
Inaba might not even be able to see his face, he's managed to tuck himself under the blankets quite a bit... but she can see a puny tail tip sticking out, at least.
It's hard, keeping the tiger inside through all of this.]
That sure was a motive. It's one that didn't exactly get her to think much and she had to go elsewhere to just cry and be upset about it all. She does have a clue that maybe Atsushi's watching - her boyfriend - and even though she knows that he's pretty strong, he's not infallible.
She knows that more than anybody else.
Nevertheless, it's only when she finds a good brief moment to be alone that she's actually looking at her photo yet again. It's Atsushi, and it's not the one that's here.
...
She kind of wishes that this photo was taken under better circumstances. But she does look up every now and again so that when she does spot Atsushi, all she can do is wave, a little quiet, not even speaking up. Not even the costume she's wearing is enough to perk her up. ]
[Atsushi... had immediately flung himself into a shower, so it's probably safe to assume Inaba was in the other bathroom. As it stands, he's looking very damp, tired and upset. He might have curled up and screamed a little in there for a bit, fists clenched with claws digging into his palms, the shower washing away any blood before the cuts healed.
He knew it was probably a bluff. He knew, it would only make them more sympathetic. But if it wasn't...? There was always that 'if' and it terrified him.
The full moon is next week and the anxiety coursing through him wasn't helping in the slightest with his control. He almost turns around when he spots Inaba-- but that wouldn't be fair to her, either.]
but it's probably fine because at some point before it gets too late Inaba is going to attempt to drag Atsushi into the showers because there's a lot to do today and not as much time as she'd hope.
but
this
is
fine.
(her expression looks worn out and dead by the time they're there, though.) ]
